Greenwood Valley Wagyu LLC is located in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It is owned and operated by Mike and Lindsay Miller.
Mike Miller is a native to Millville, Pennsylvania, and was born into a farming family. His grandfather farmed produce and Angus beef cattle for many years. Lindsay Miller (Ruth) is from Spring City, Pennsylvania. Like Mike, she also grew up around cattle. Her father raised Jersey dairy cattle for many years before transitioning to Wagyu in 2008.
Mike and Lindsay met in 2012 while Lindsay was pursuing her degree in Social Work from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. They dated for several years before marrying in September 2020 on Lindsay’s family farm in Spring City, Pennsylvania.
Throughout the course of Mike and Lindsay’s relationship they dreamed about having a farm of their own one day. In 2017, they started taking active steps to make their dream become reality. Their first Fullblood Wagyu cow was purchased and they started breathing life back into Mike’s family farm.
In January 2021, Greenwood Valley Wagyu LLC began to retail Fullblood Wagyu beef to local consumers who wanted to support farm to table initiatives. In May 2022, Greenwood Valley Wagyu expanded to include Greenwood Valley Co., their branded line of tallow and leather goods.
Today Mike and Lindsay manage their own Wagyu herd and work closely with Lindsay’s father and brother to background Wagyu steers. Mike and Lindsay aim to make Wagyu accessible to local consumers who value quality beef and have interest in knowing where their food comes from.
